Cross-Cultural Bilingual Blogging Research Meeting 2010

This research meeting was part of a Kaken project on a cross-cultural blogging exchange between students from Japan and the United States.

Presentations were given by Stephen Henneberry (University of Shimane) and Pamela Ikegami (University of New Hampshire) on the current state and future plans of the Kaken project. Eric Hagley, of the Muroran Institute of Technology,  presented on a similar project using audio forums as the mode of international exchange. The discussion was rounded out by a presentation by Gary Ross, web developer1 and lecturer at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, who discussed online tools he has created to facilitate such online exchanges between language learners.
